Highland CC Instructor Named Kansas Farm Bureau Rural Minds Matter Young Advocate of the Year

Thomas Eisenbarth, Precision Agriculture Instructor at Highland Community College’s Western Center in Baileyville, has been recognized by the Kansas Farm Bureau for his leadership and advocacy in promoting mental health awareness in rural communities. 

 

Eisenbarth was named the 2025 Rural Minds Matter Young Advocate of the Year, an honor that highlights his dedication to supporting the mental well-being of others throughout the state. 

 

“Thomas’ commitment to raising awareness about the importance of mental health in agriculture exemplifies the mission and values we strive to uphold at Highland Community College,” said Dr. Vincent Bowhay, President. “We are proud of his efforts to foster stronger, healthier rural communities.” 

 

The Rural Minds Matter Young Advocate of the Year Award is presented annually to individuals who demonstrate exceptional leadership in addressing mental health challenges and reducing stigma in Kansas’ agricultural industry.
