Software Development at Butler Community College
At Butler Community College, students in the Software Development program build a strong foundation in programming while also exploring Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The program includes hands-on experience with languages and tools such as Python, C#, Java, SQL and cloud-based technologies. Students also learn about coding, databases, systems design, computer vision and robotics learning.

Cowley College hosted the South Central Kansas FFA District Agricultural Mechanics Career Development Event (CDE) on March 25 at its Sumner Campus in Wellington, welcoming approximately 100 students representing 26 high school chapters from across the region.

New Online GED & Adult Education Opportunities: ROSA
A new statewide effort called ROSA (Remote Opportunities for Student Access) is helping adult learners connect with online GED classes, available in English and Spanish, and Adult Education classes, which may include English Language Classes (ESL/ELA), resume building, and more. Through partnerships with programs like Seward County Community College (SCCC) Adult Education and others, more virtual learning options are becoming available for Kansans who need flexibility.

Textron Aviation is offering paid apprenticeship opportunities for individuals looking to build long-term, skilled careers in aviation and advanced manufacturing.
