Diagnostic Medical Sonography, often called ultrasound, is an important part of today’s health care system. Sonographers use sound waves (not radiation) to create images that help doctors find and monitor medical conditions. It’s a career that combines technology, patient care, and problem-solving, and it’s in high demand across hospitals and clinics.
Neosho County Community College helps students prepare for this growing field through its Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program. This Associate of Applied Science program mixes classroom learning with hands-on clinical experience, so students learn by doing. You’ll build skills in anatomy, ultrasound technology, and patient care while gaining real-world experience in supervised health care settings.
This program is a great fit for people who enjoy working with technology, helping others, and being part of a health care team. Graduates are ready to step into jobs at hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers across Kansas and beyond.
The next application period is Feb 1-March 15. Apply now to get started!
