Spring semester will be here before you know it—and a little preparation now can make a big difference later. Whether you’re juggling work, family, or both, these quick tips will help you stay on track and ready to hit the ground running.

1. Meet with your advisor early. Some classes fill up fast, especially general education and program-required courses. Talk to your advisor soon to map out your plan and make sure you reserve your spot.

2. Get your schedule organized. Between work, family, and school, time management is key. Once your classes are set, create a weekly schedule that includes study time, work hours, and personal commitments so nothing sneaks up on you.

3. Double-check your financial aid. If you’re not sure whether you’ve completed all your forms or submitted the right documents, reach out to your financial aid office now. A quick check-in can prevent last-minute stress later.

4. Track your graduation and course requirements. Keep an eye on your degree checklist and make sure you’re meeting class prerequisites. Staying current with assignments and grades this semester will make your spring start smoother.

5. Don’t go it alone—ask for help. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, connect with your Level Up Kansas Navigator. Navigators can help find on and off-campus resources so you can finish this semester strong and be set up for success in the spring.

Planning ahead means you’ll spend less time worrying and more time focusing on your goals.
